The Fair

Our fair was in town last week, and we took the girls on the first Sunday. What a beautiful day it was!

This was the view from the Ferris wheel.

The rides took SO many tickets --- here was a $6 trip down the slide.

Mia was not tall enough to ride most of the bigger rides. Here she was watching Claire get ready to do the bumper cars. She was so disappointed that she couldn't go, too.

Taking a little ice cream break.

I wanted to see what had been entered in the knitting category, so we stepped inside the exhibit building for a few minutes. It was hot, and Claire and Mia were immediately bored stiff. I don't know why, but there was this grocery store horse sitting there, and the girls were fighting over who got to sit on it. They were also mad at me for not putting some money into it.

I love the expression on Mia's face on this little mini-roller coaster ride.

Mia was a bit hesitant to get on a pony, but then changed her mind and decided to ride the littlest one. It was so cute!

The ponies had glitter on their manes, and that made it more fun.

How adorable! I think the glitter on the mane is cute too... I've even seen them put them on their hooves. (My horse would never stand for such fussiness. He is a "brat".) Tell Claire and Mia next time you are in KY - horse rides for everyone at the Hanks House!
