A White Christmas!

Christmas morning it started snowing, and it snowed all day! Luckily it wasn't a heavy snow - we have a little over 6 inches. Just right for the kids and dog to play in. They are out there now in a wind chill of 11 degrees, just having the time of their lives. We were supposed to go to church Christmas morning and have a breakfast potluck, but decided not to try it. The road crews were not really out in force. Mom and Dad live a mile from us, so we loaded some gifts and my knitting bag on the sled and walked over for lunch and spent the afternoon with them. We walked back early enough to get home before dark, then watched movies and ate popcorn all evening. It was just a nice and relaxing day. Here are a few pictures.

Here the girls were dressed up for church, before we decided not to go.

Just getting back from Mom and Dad's. They both got new CamelBaks for Christmas.

I think Jessi is glad to be a house cat!

Sweet Andy on Christmas morning

We made two Monkey Breads for the potluck, but have now just about finished them both - Yum!

Walking up the hill to our house, I noticed our neighbors' reindeer looked kind of like reinbunnies!

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Christmas!

FFF - Christmas Card Outtakes

The Favorite Foto Friday theme for today is Christmas Card Outtakes. I always have lots of these. This year I did card photos in two sessions. First they dressed in black, and I tried to get some of them separate, and also with the pets. I REALLY love my pets, and wanted to show them on the cards, but it's so hard to get them to cooperate at the same time that the girls are cooperating!

That morning I whipped out this dog scarf and matching cat scrunchie. Unfortunately Jessi's scrunchie looked more like a cone.

She's an inside cat, and I think she was a bit freaked out about being out on the porch.

Then Mia got a case of the giggles...

Okay, you need to open your eyes...

 Like this??

I was really pushing my luck when I asked them to dress up again and come back out for another round - This time they decided to wear red, and I didn't argue...

The pets were not happy at all about going a second round.

Finally, the keepers ---

I hope everyone has a relaxing last-weekend-before-Christmas. For more cute Christmas card outtakes, check out Hannah's blog.
